What is your race?
What is your religion? What is your political party? Society constantly throws questions at us Making us believe that we need to pick sides That we need to make sides A way for us to divide ourselves Like cookie cutters dividing dough We are all the same But for some reason We like to cut ourselves up in hopes of making ourselves different But all we end up with Is scars and pain When what we should be doing Is mending the cuts that still sting Why are there so many questions? I’m tired of answering questions.

Our days, which are filled with hate and fear The source of all chaos Our days -- the United States is divided in two Another civil war is yet to come Our days -- there's too many people in poverty Hurting the pride we have left in our country We need to unite Create an easier fight We all see the light The light of prosperity and love But now we need to reach for it Our days -- we need to fix the way we view people There shouldn't be a preferred majority in this world Our days -- we need to come together Stopping the horrid discrimination and lies in our country We need to love We need to unite We need to be together And get through every hardship as one! I loved the rain. Simple as that, getting outside during a torrential downpour was the best feeling. The water hitting the ground so hard it created a vision of white against its surface, a fine mist blurring the lines of reality. The feeling of warmth as the water rushes down from your head, following the dip of your cheeks and outlining the curve of your neck, soaking your clothes so they cling to you like a second skin before rushing down your legs and pooling on the ground. The rain is a gift, a symbol of growth and rebirth. Slowly, trails of red seep into the earth as the rushing water cleanse me again. The rivers of red trailing down my body, dripping from my fingertips as I watch the water wash the blood away. The crimson color taints the water at my feet and I smile. I loved the rain. Snow so pretty As it falls down my window. Trapped in 4 walls. Wishing I could be out there As it falls. Dancing in the snow as my nose turns red But instead, I’m trapped. Unable to relive my Childhood memories Of making snowmen and igloos. Growing up seem so exciting now I wish I could be a kid again. Anonymous
It’s what makes you feel warm in the cold The sun in the snow A warm smile in a bitter world Your favorite song on the radio The small break from reality Gives you peace, sanity Watching people give each other theirs The laughter that fills the room Lost so soon after it’s found Leaving us searching for it Danielle Vella
